In 1990, Russ and Mary became an important part of the development of a Walla Walla social dance group known as Nightmoves Dance Club. The both held positions on the Board of Directors of Nightmoves for the first two years of the club's existence.

Taking their knowledge and enthusiasm a step further, they began instructing dance in 1991, teaching at various clubs and special events in Walla Walla and surrounding areas. Currently they teach in association with Walla Walla Community College and regulary instruct students from Whitman College and Walla Walla College.

The Chandlers presently choreograph and participate in exhibitions and performances, while finding time to enter various Northwest competitions. Always seeking perfection and versatility in their craft, they regularly travel to conventions and receive coaching from Master Dancers and Educators annually.
